Love Letters

Walter and I celebrated our 45th anniversary today, as I have written a few minutes ago. Well, now I will tell you what I gave to Walter. You know how Walter always tells that he fell in love with me through my letters one summer after I had gotten to know him at school (Capital University). I recently found those letters! So I tied a ribbon around them and gave them to him today. Since I had already found my letters from him some time ago, we sat down this afternoon to read them to each other. How romantic and nostalgic was that! Hee hee.

How do you like this gift from Walter, also for our anniversary? Isn't it appropriate? The little box that holds the chicken pendant on a chain is a hen and rooster with a heart on the front.

Our 45th Anniversary

Today Walter and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary. If you know Walter, you know he is a great gift-giver! You should see what he found at the thrift store! This is a picture of the chicken crate coffee table he presented to me. I have filled it up with chickens. Under the glass top of the coffee table I have placed a favorite picture I had cut from a magazine--it is an oil painting called "515 Chickens." Click on the image to see the picture up close.
