Gift Ideas

Some of you have been asking me what crafts I have been doing lately. Actually, nothing new that I haven't made before, but each time they turn out a little different. Since I don't think I have mentioned these on my blog before, I have chosen to show you two baby shower gifts I like to make.

One is a Noah's Ark shaped from a baby towel over a Kleenex box with a cardboard roof covered with a baby wash cloth. The animals are all fashioned from baby washcloths. Notice that I place the chicken on the top of the ark! If you need to use something to hold them together, use ribbon, string, rubber bands, scotch tape or a washable glue so that all pieces can be easily disassembled and used. To look at these in more detail, simply click on the picture to enlarge it.

Here is a basket with the "Seven-Ups of Life with Baby." It is lined with a baby blanket and contains a bottle of 7-Up surrounded by seven gifts with tags on them:

1. Spit Up - a burp cloth - Psalm 8:2

2. Bottoms Up - baby wipes - 1 Cor. 15:51

3. Train Up - toy train engine - Prov. 22:6

4. Treasure Up - stickers for scrap book - Luke 2:51

5. Hush Up - pacifier - Ps. 107:29

6. Snuggle Up - Snuggle fabric softener - Ecc. 4:11

7. Grow Up - socks in two different sizes - Eph. 4:15

Hopefully, these ideas will inspire you and spark more ideas in your head for you to try out.
