Red Hatter Hen Party

Here are some photos from a hen party we had at my house. We made Martha a new hat custom made right on her head with red craft paper, purple masking tape and a flower .
One of our activities was a fun auction using play money. Here are the girls with their purchases. Some items were wrapped, so they were bid on sight unseen--that can be scary!
And here are the girls with their chicken cluckers. It really sounded like a hen house in my living room that evening!

Chicken cluckers are made from plastic cups covered with fcolorful print fabric to resemble a chicken. A string is strung through the bottom of the cup, anchored with a button. On the other end of the string a piece of sponge is tied. When you moisten the sponge and wrap it around the string and pull down in jerks, it will sound just like a hen clucking.
