Why did the middle-aged chicken cross the road?

Well, to be honest, even she doesn't remember why. When she got to the other side, she said, "Now what am I here after?"

When the preacher tells me that at my age I should be thinking about the here-after, I tell him, "Oh, I do that a lot. No matter where I find myself, in the living room, upstairs, in the kitchen or down in the basement, I have to stop and ask myself , "Now what am I here after?"
