My Christmas Tree

Here is a photo of our tree this year. I wanted to do something very simple without getting out all my old ornaments, so I just decided to put some of my favorite old sewing items on the tree. You may see the thread spools, tape measure, scissors, tatting shuttle, pin cushions, etc. on it. Underneath the tree are some old-fashioned things including a red, white and green pieced quilt top from Grandma Ola's house, Anna's doll cradle her Grandpa McClenathan made her, a vintage Simplicity dress pattern tin, etc. I looked for something to put on top the tree and ended up with the Santa Hat from my Red Hatters club, hardly in sinc with the vintage theme. Ha.
