Bridging the Generations

Are you a Traditionalist (born before 1946), a Baby-Boomer, a Generation Xer or a Millenniel? At a ladies church event last week we learned how we are different, what challenges our faith, and how to communicate with other generations. Each generation group was represented in a panel discussion. I was able to give my opinions as a traditionalst on subjects such as the place of women in the home and workplace, on submission to husbands and on modesty.

Afterwards we had a fun face-to-face activity called "speed-mentoring" (an adaptation of "speed-dating").The two older generation ladies sat on one side of a long table while the younger gals moved along the other side. We were given two minutes to talk to the person across from us, to ask questions, discuss a subject or just get acquainted. It was really fun!
